The Galen Woods Fireman of the Year is DuPage Drones relief pitcher Sean Frontzak (St. Louis University). The right-hander from Naperville, Ill., appeared in 20 games out of the bullpen this summer and recorded an ERA of 0.97. He struck out 26 batters, gave up 14 hits and 11 walks over 27 2/3 innings.

DuPage Drones second baseman Aaron Meyer (Missuori State University) collected both the Mike Schmidt Player of the Year award and the Roland Hemond Pro Prospect of the Year award. Meyer was named Prospect League Player of the Week multiple times during the season. He set a new league record for batting average at .423. Meyer also led the league in hits (82), total bases (116), on-base percentage (.487), and slugging (.598). His 45 RBIs and 40 runs scored each ranked third in the league, while his 21 extra-base hits tied for fourth.

The 2016 Prospect League Manager of the Year is Springfield's Zac Charbonneau, who led the Sliders to a league-best 39-20 overall record and a playoff berth after winning the West Division's second half. The 39 wins are tied for the fifth highest win total in Prospect League history. The Sliders, despite a myriad of injuries, led the league in runs scored (335), RBI (290), total bases (754), fewest strikeouts (353), slugging (.386), and OPS (.747). Their 38 errors on defense were the fewest by 20, which helped the defense lead the league in fielding percentage (.982) and double plays (63). The Sliders were also top-five offensively in batting average (.273), doubles (104), home runs (26), and on-base percentage (.360). Springfield's pitching staff ranked top three in ERA (3.34), hits allowed (460), runs allowed (239), walks (188), strikeouts (451), and opponent batting average (.243).
