Host Family Coordinator
For the past 10 years Becky has been the volunteer Host Homes Coordinator for the REX Baseball Organization, placing players in volunteer homes. She works with the players and the volunteer homes, trying to make the best match possible for the time the players are in Terre Haute playing for the REX.
Becky retired from Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, serving as their Director of Advocacy and Community Development. The main part of her job was advocating for girls and monitoring legislation that, not only affected girls, but children in general such as bullying in the schools. She was also responsible for the four Girl Scout Page Days, Women's Equality Day Luncheon, and anything to do with girls and government.
Besides the REX, she is active in Rotary, has been a Senate appointment to the Indiana Kid's First Trust Fund, serves on the Advocacy Committee for the Terre Haute Chamber, President of the Public Defender's Board, and Board member of Hospice/VNA. She has received the Athena Award from the Chamber, The Aspire Higher Award from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, and other awards.
Becky and her husband, Ervin, will celebrate their 56th Wedding Anniversary this year. They have two children, Michelle and Rodney, and three grandchildren, Kelsey, Zachary, and Josh. Becky and Ervin are active members of Free Life Community Church and Becky is a speaker for Stonecroft.
