REX'S JONATHAN EILBRACHT LANDS GIG WITH THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

ELKVILLE, IL - Terre Haute native Jonathan Eilbracht, who has spent the last three summers working with the 2018 Prospect League Champions, the Terre Haute Rex, has landed a full time gig with the St. Louis Cardinals, Major League Baseball club in St. Louis Missouri.

In the last three years, Eilbracht held a variety of key positions and roles with the Rex to include serving as the Administrative Assistant/Marking Sales Representative, where he helped sell program advertisements and sponsorships, as well as fulfill season ticket orders and merchandise. The talented and versatile Eilbracht also served as the Rex Pressbox Manager, where he oversaw the operations in the press box including such critical elements of game day productions as Pointstreak and the Prospect League TV live streams.

Eilbracht first caught the attention of sports fans in the area, when he attended Terre Haute North High School and played baseball for four years and lettered in three of them. He was among nine other seniors to help lead his team to a State Championship in 2014. After high school, Jonathan continued racking up wins on his resume, playing baseball at Anderson University, where he helped lead the team to a HCAC Conference Championship in 2015.

The following season, Eilbracht transferred to Indiana State University to focus on academics and a career in sports. There, he begin working for the Rex in the Prospect League, one of the premier Summer Collegiate Wooden Bat Leagues in the nation.

In May of last year, Eilbracht graduated from Indiana State University with a degree in Sport Management. Five months later he was hired by the St. Louis Cardinals as a Direct Sales Representative with the ballclub. He'll be busy this season selling ticket packages, party suites and all-inclusive tickets, single game tickets and answer any questions that may come into the Cardinals ticket office or on the hotline.

According to Eilbracht, "Working for the Rex really kick-started my career working in baseball. Being able to work closely with Bruce Rosselli, the Rex General Manager and Jeni Wright, the Director of Human Resources, really gave me an insight to what it takes to be successful in the industry. I will always be thankful for the opportunity to work for such a great organization and League."

The departure of Eilbracht, a familiar face and fixture in baseball in the Terre Haute area for years, will be the Terre Haute Rex loss and the St. Louis Cardinals gain.
