Jacob Harden, a native of Brazil, Indiana, brings a powerful blend of perseverance, passion, and experience to the diamond. A standout player at Northview High School, Harden helped lead the Knights to a 2012 Sectional Championship and earned All-State Second Team honors in 2014 before graduating in 2015.
Despite facing a career-altering heart condition at just 16 years old, Harden pursued collegiate baseball, competing at IU Southeast and Vincennes University. He was set to play at Indiana State University before medical issues ended his playing career, but remained with the team as a manager during their 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament title run. In 2017, he also played for the Terre Haute REX in the Prospect League.
Harden began his coaching career at Clarksville High School and later served as assistant and JV head coach at Northview. In 2020, he was hired as pitching coach at NCAA Division III Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. In 2021, he was named head coach at Linton-Stockton High School, where he led the Miners to their first-ever Regional Championship and Final Four appearance in 2022. He is currently in his fourth season at Linton.
Now in his sixth summer as assistant coach for the Terre Haute REX, Harden continues to influence Wabash Valley baseball. A graduate of Indiana State University with a degree in Sport Management, he is known for his energetic leadership, deep roots in the local community, and a coaching philosophy built on discipline, hustle, and lifelong mentorship.
